Sandra, Budapest,
Hungary
Diagnosis: Cerebral Palsy
Sandra, 16 month old, had a history of motor delay and spasticity
since early infancy. Left arm and left leg were affected: the arm was flexed
and the leg was extended. The left arm was held in a flexed position, with a
hand in a fist. Findings during a physical examination also included spasticity: an increase in muscle tone,
abnormal persistence of infantile reflexes, hyperreflexia on the left side.
The girl had evidence of a left hemiparesis.
We treated her since she was eight
months old using an early intervention technique including a combination of long-term BEST massage therapy, exercise program, homeopathic
treatment, and hydrotherapy. After three months of
our intensive treatment there was no evidence of motor delay. Furthermore, the symptoms
of spasticity and hemiparesis were completely eliminated.
